What this tool does
favicon.ico plus PNG icons for browsers, Apple and Android
You get a real favicon.ico plus the PNG sizes browsers, Apple touch icons and Android home screens ask for, all from one image.
Square, rounded or circle, with background and padding
Shape can be square, rounded or a circle, with a background colour or transparency and padding to stop the artwork touching the edges.
Includes a web manifest and ready-to-paste HTML
A web manifest and the block of HTML to paste into your head are generated with the icons, so nothing has to be written by hand.
Live preview of the icon sizes
Every size is previewed as it will actually appear, which is how you catch a logo that turns to mush at 16 pixels.
Generated in your browser, nothing uploaded
The icons are drawn and packaged in your browser, so the source image is never uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
Is my image uploaded?
No. The icons are generated entirely in your browser, so your image never leaves your device.
What is in the ZIP?
A favicon.ico holding the 16, 32 and 48 pixel sizes, PNG icons (16, 32, 48, 64, 180 for Apple and 192 and 512 for Android), a site.webmanifest, and an HTML file with the link tags to paste into your page head.
Does my image need to be square?
No. The centre of your image is taken as a square automatically. For the cleanest result a square image of at least 512 pixels works best.
Can I round the corners or make it a circle?
Yes. Choose square, rounded or circle, set a background colour or keep it transparent, and add padding, with a live preview.
Where do I put the files?
Upload all the files to your website root and paste the snippet from paste-into-head.html into the head of your pages.
