Colour Palette Extractor reads any image entirely in your browser, with nothing uploaded, and pulls out its most common, visually distinct colours as a palette. You get HEX and RGB codes you can copy individually, as a list, or as CSS variables, and you can download the palette as a PNG.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to extract the colours?

No. The image is read and analysed entirely in your browser on your device, so nothing is uploaded and it works offline.

How are the colours chosen?

The tool scans the image, groups similar pixels, and picks the most common, visually distinct colours so you get a clean, usable palette rather than dozens of near-identical shades.

Can I copy the colours easily?

Yes. Tap any HEX or RGB value to copy it, or use Copy hex list and Copy as CSS to grab them all at once. You can also download the palette as a PNG.

What image formats work?

PNG, JPG, WebP and GIF all work. For the cleanest palette, use a clear, well-lit image.

How many colours can I get?

Between 4 and 12. Fewer gives the boldest, most dominant colours, more gives a fuller range.
