Privacy policy

Private by design: the tools run in your browser and your files are never uploaded.

Last updated: June 2026

Don's Tools is built to be private by design. This page explains, in plain language, how your data is handled.

Your files and text are not uploaded

The tools on Don's Tools run client-side, meaning the work happens inside your own browser on your device. When you resize an image, convert a video, encrypt text, calculate your tax or convert Sinhala, that data is processed locally and is never sent to us or uploaded to any server. We never receive, see or store the contents of your files or the text you enter.

Things saved on your device

A few tools, such as the secret note, habit tracker, alarms and Pomodoro timer, save information so it is there when you come back. That information is stored only in your own browser, on your device, and is never sent to us. You can clear it at any time through the tool or by clearing your browser data.

Accounts and personal data

You do not need an account to use Don's Tools, and we do not ask you to provide personal information to use the tools.

Usage statistics

The website may collect basic, anonymous usage statistics, such as which pages are visited, to understand what is useful and improve the tools. This never includes the contents of your files or the text you enter into a tool.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page. Questions about privacy can be sent to hi@donstools.com.
