EXIF Viewer and Remover reads the hidden metadata stored inside a photo, entirely in your browser with nothing uploaded. It shows the camera, lens, exposure, date and any GPS location, warning you when a photo reveals where it was taken, and lets you download a clean copy with all of that metadata removed.

Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The photo is read in your browser, so it and its metadata never leave your device, which is the whole point of checking it privately.

What metadata can it show?

Camera make and model, lens, exposure settings, date taken, software and, when present, the GPS location where the photo was taken.

How do I remove the metadata?

Click Remove metadata to download a clean copy. The image is redrawn fresh, which leaves the picture intact but drops all EXIF data, including any location.

Why does my image show no data?

PNG and many edited or screenshot images carry no EXIF at all, and some apps strip it on export, so there may simply be nothing to show.

Does removing metadata lower quality?

Saving as PNG keeps full quality. JPEG is re-encoded at high quality, so any change is minimal.
