How to use Word ⇆ PDF converter

  1. Add your file

Drop your Word file onto the upload area, or tap the area to choose it from your device.

  2. Run it

Press Convert to PDF. The button stays disabled until there is something to work on, and each file shows its own progress and result.

  3. Start over any time

Nothing is saved on a server, so reloading the page clears everything.

What this tool does

Word (.docx) to PDF

A .docx is converted into a paginated PDF, with headings, lists, tables and images carried across rather than flattened.

PDF to Word (.doc)

A PDF is converted into a Word document you can edit, instead of a page of images you cannot.

Drag and drop

Drop the file onto the page or browse for it, and the conversion starts as soon as it is read.

No upload, no sign-up

Both directions run in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and there is no sign-up.

Frequently asked questions

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Files are read into memory, converted, and handed back as a download entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.

Which formats are supported?

Word to PDF accepts a .docx document and returns a paginated PDF. PDF to Word takes a .pdf and returns an editable .doc file you can open in Word.

Why does PDF to Word give me a .doc and not a .docx?

The recovered text is written as a Word-compatible .doc, which opens in Word and other editors. Open it and use Save As to keep it as a modern .docx if you prefer.

Will my formatting be kept?

Word to PDF keeps headings, lists, tables and images. PDF to Word recovers the text and reading order, but complex layouts, columns and scanned images will not carry over.

My PDF will not convert. Why?

If a PDF is scanned or image-only it has no selectable text layer, so there is nothing to extract. A PDF with real, selectable text will convert.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no fixed limit. Conversion runs on your device, so very large files may be slower on an older computer.
