Nothing is saved on a server, so reloading the page clears everything.
What this tool does
Word (.docx) to a paginated PDF
A .docx is converted into a paginated PDF, with the layout, headings and page breaks preserved.
PDF to an editable Word file
A PDF is converted into a .docx you can open and edit in Word rather than a picture of the document.
Keeps headings, lists, tables and images
Headings, lists, tables and images are carried across, which is what separates a usable conversion from a wall of text.
Everything runs on your device
Both directions run on your device, using the browser's own engine rather than a conversion service.
Nothing uploaded, no sign-up
Nothing is uploaded and there is no sign-up, which matters for contracts and anything else you would not email to a stranger.
Frequently asked questions
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your file is read into memory, converted on your device, and handed back as a download. It never leaves the page.
What can it convert?
Two directions: a Word .docx into a paginated PDF, and a PDF into an editable Word file that opens as a .doc you can re-save as .docx.
Does Word to PDF keep my formatting?
It keeps headings, lists, tables, bold text and images. Very unusual layouts or custom fonts may shift a little, because the PDF is rebuilt from the document content.
Why did PDF to Word miss my layout?
PDF to Word recovers the text and reading order, not the exact design. Columns, complex layouts and scanned or image-only pages will not carry over. A PDF with a real text layer works best.
Is there a size limit?
There is no fixed limit, but everything is held in memory on your device, so very large files can be slow on a phone or an older machine.
