Frequently asked questions
Is anything uploaded or saved online?
No. The whole test runs in your browser, and your best scores are saved only on your own device. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is no account.
How is the speed measured?
Words per minute uses the standard of five characters per word. It counts only the characters you typed correctly, divided by the time you took.
What does accuracy mean?
Accuracy is the share of keys you pressed that were correct. Fixing a mistake still counts the wrong key, so careful typing scores higher.
Can I choose the difficulty?
Yes. Easy uses short common words, Medium adds capitals and punctuation, and Hard adds numbers and longer sentences. Each one gives you a fresh random passage.
Are my best scores kept?
Yes. Your best words per minute for each difficulty is stored in your browser, so it is there next time. Clearing your browser data resets it.
