Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate my weighted grade?

Multiply each assignment score by its weight (as a decimal), then sum them all. For example: homework 85% ร— 0.20 weight = 17 points; midterm 78% ร— 0.30 = 23.4 points; project 90% ร— 0.50 = 45 points. Total: 17 + 23.4 + 45 = 85.4%. This calculator does all that automatically.

What grade do I need on my final to pass?

What is the standard US letter grade scale?

A: 90โ€“100%, B: 80โ€“89%, C: 70โ€“79%, D: 60โ€“69%, F: below 60%. Some schools use +/โˆ’ grades with tighter ranges.
