Focus Timer is a clean, customisable Pomodoro-style timer for deep work. Choose your own focus and break lengths, name what you are working on, and start a session with a circular countdown and a gentle chime at the end. It keeps a running count of your sessions and total focus time for the day along with a short history, and a full screen focus mode hides everything else. Everything is saved privately in your browser, with nothing uploaded.

Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded.

How to use Focus timer

  1. Enter your figures

Fill in Focus minutes, Break minutes, Chime and Auto-start next. Values you change are used straight away, with no submit button.

  2. Read the results

The Recent sessions update as soon as a value changes.

  3. Start over any time

Nothing is saved on a server, so reloading the page clears everything.

What this tool does

Set your own focus and break lengths

Focus and break minutes are yours to set, so a 25 and 5 pomodoro or a 50 and 10 deep-work block are both a couple of taps.

Name the task you are focusing on

Naming the task puts it on screen while the timer runs, which is a surprisingly effective way to notice when you have drifted onto something else.

A gentle chime when each session ends

A chime marks the end of each session rather than an alarm, so it does not jolt you out of concentration.

Tracks sessions and total focus time for today

Completed sessions and total focus time for today are counted, so the page shows what you actually did rather than what you intended.

Distraction-free full screen focus mode

Focus mode fills the screen with just the timer and the task, which removes the tabs and the clock from view.

Frequently asked questions

Is anything uploaded or saved online?

No. The timer runs entirely in your browser, and your settings, daily totals and session history are saved only on your own device. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is no account.

How is this different from a plain Pomodoro?

It is a flexible Pomodoro. You can set any focus and break lengths, give each session a task name, and it keeps a running count of your sessions and total focus time for the day, plus a history.

Will the timer stay accurate if I switch tabs?

Yes. It tracks the real elapsed time rather than counting down blindly, so it stays correct even in a background tab. One honest caveat: some browsers delay the end chime until you return to the tab.

Does it make a sound?

Yes, a gentle chime plays when each session ends, and you can turn it off with the Chime toggle. Because browsers block audio until you interact, the sound works once you have pressed start.

Does my history sync across devices?

No. To keep everything private, it is saved in this browser on this device only, so it will not appear on your phone or another computer. Clearing your browser data resets it.
