How to use Document expiry tracker
Add your text
Type or paste your text into the input box. Everything is handled by your own browser, so nothing is sent to a server.
Set the options
Choose What is it for?, Details (optional) and Expiry / renewal date. The options are visible from the start, not hidden until you paste something.
Read it and keep a copy
The output updates as you type, so there is nothing to submit and nothing to wait for. Save item, Don → saves it as a file.
What this tool does
Track passports, visas, IDs, insurance, subscriptions, warranties and more
Passports, visas, ID cards, driving licences, insurance, subscriptions and warranties all live in one list rather than in your head.
Colour-coded
Each item is coloured by how close it is: due now, expiring soon, or still a long way off, so the list can be read at a glance.
Sorted so the most urgent renewal is always at the top
The list sorts itself by urgency, so whatever needs renewing next is always the first thing you see when the page opens.
Add details and notes like reference numbers or where to renew
Details and notes hold the things you need at renewal time: a reference number, the office you go to, or the site you renew on.
Saved in your browser, nothing uploaded
Everything is stored in this browser on this device. Nothing is uploaded, and clearing your browser data clears the list.
Frequently asked questions
Is my information stored online?
No. Everything you add is saved only in your own browser on this device. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and no one else can see it.
What can I track with it?
Any document or renewal with a date: passports, visas, ID cards, health, home and life insurance, professional licences, memberships, subscriptions, domains, warranties and contracts. You can also name your own type.
How do the colours work?
Green means more than 30 days away, amber means due within 30 days, and red means due within 7 days or already expired. The list is sorted so the most urgent item is always at the top.
Will it send me reminders or emails?
No. Sending emails or alerts would need a server and an account, which this tool avoids. Instead it is a dashboard you glance at, where the colours and order make clear what needs doing. Bookmark it and check it now and then.
Does it sync across my devices?
No. Because the data stays private in this browser, it is saved on this device only. Clearing your browser data will remove it.
