Is anything saved or uploaded?
No. The calculation runs instantly in your browser with simple maths, and nothing you type is sent anywhere or stored.
How is the final price worked out?
The discount is taken off the original price first, then any sales tax is added to that reduced amount, which is how most shops and receipts calculate it.
Can I change the currency?
Yes. Type any symbol you like into the currency box, such as a pound, euro or rupee sign, and every result updates to use it.
Is the sales tax optional?
Yes. Leave the tax field blank or at zero and it simply shows the discounted price. Add a rate and it shows the tax amount and the final total including tax.
Can it handle decimals?
Yes. You can enter prices and percentages with decimals, and the results are rounded to two decimal places for money.
