Good to know: everything runs on your device, so nothing is uploaded. In Trim & Cut, drag the two handles on the waveform to pick a region. The whole file is held in memory, so very long files may be slow on a phone. Trim one file up to 1 GB; merge up to 30 files.

Working...
Audio Trimmer, Cutter and Merger is a free tool that edits audio entirely in your browser, with nothing uploaded. In Trim and Cut mode you load one file, see its waveform, and drag two handles to mark a region; choose Keep to trim to that region or Remove to cut it out and join the rest, and press play to hear the selection first. In Merge mode you add several files, reorder them with arrows, and join them into one continuous track, lined up to a common sample rate and channel layout. Save the result as MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG or FLAC; WAV and FLAC keep full quality.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your audio is decoded, edited and re-encoded entirely in your browser on your device. Nothing is ever sent to a server.

How do I trim or cut?

Drop in one audio file, then drag the two handles on the waveform to mark a region. Choose Keep to trim everything outside the region, or Remove to cut the region out and join the rest. Press play to hear the selected region before you export.

How do I merge files?

Switch to Merge mode and add two or more audio files. Use the arrows on each row to put them in the order you want, then export. The files are joined one after another into a single track.

Can I merge files that have different formats or sample rates?

Yes. When you merge, every file is lined up to a common sample rate and channel layout so they play back as one smooth track, then saved in the format you choose. Mixing MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC is fine.

Which formats can I open and save?

You can open common audio like MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC, as long as your browser can decode it. You can save as MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG or FLAC; WAV and FLAC keep full quality.

Is there a size limit?

For trimming, one file up to 1 GB. For merging, up to 30 files. Everything is held in memory on your device while you work, so long files or many files may be slow or run out of memory on a phone or older machine.
