Audio Trimmer, Cutter and Merger is a free tool that edits audio entirely in your browser, with nothing uploaded. In Trim and Cut mode you load one file, see its waveform, and drag two handles to mark a region; choose Keep to trim to that region or Remove to cut it out and join the rest, and press play to hear the selection first. In Merge mode you add several files, reorder them with arrows, and join them into one continuous track, lined up to a common sample rate and channel layout. Save the result as MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG or FLAC; WAV and FLAC keep full quality.

Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded.

How to use Trim, cut & merge

  1. Add your file

Drop your audio file onto the upload area, or tap the area to choose it from your device.

  2. Run it

Press Trim it, Don →. The button stays disabled until there is something to work on, and each file shows its own progress and result.

  3. Save the result

Press Download audio, Don. Each finished file keeps a name based on the one you started with, so you can tell the versions apart.

What this tool does

Trim audio to a region on the waveform

Drag the handles on the waveform to the part you want and everything outside it is dropped, so you can see the silence you are cutting.

Cut a section out of the middle

Switch Action to Remove and the selected region is taken out while the two sides are joined back together.

Merge multiple audio files into one

Merge mode takes several files and writes them out as one track, end to end with no gap between them.

Reorder files before merging

Move files up or down before merging, so the order in the finished file is the order you want rather than the order you added them.

Save as MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG or FLAC

Choose the output format and bitrate from 128k up to 320k, or keep it lossless with WAV or FLAC.

No upload, no sign-up

One file up to 1 GB, decoded and re-encoded in your browser, with nothing uploaded and no sign-up.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your audio is decoded, edited and re-encoded entirely in your browser on your device. Nothing is ever sent to a server.

How do I trim or cut?

Drop in one audio file, then drag the two handles on the waveform to mark a region. Choose Keep to trim everything outside the region, or Remove to cut the region out and join the rest. Press play to hear the selected region before you export.

How do I merge files?

Switch to Merge mode and add two or more audio files. Use the arrows on each row to put them in the order you want, then export. The files are joined one after another into a single track.

Can I merge files that have different formats or sample rates?

Yes. When you merge, every file is lined up to a common sample rate and channel layout so they play back as one smooth track, then saved in the format you choose. Mixing MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC is fine.

Which formats can I open and save?

You can open common audio like MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC, as long as your browser can decode it. You can save as MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG or FLAC; WAV and FLAC keep full quality.

Is there a size limit?

For trimming, one file up to 1 GB. For merging, up to 30 files. Everything is held in memory on your device while you work, so long files or many files may be slow or run out of memory on a phone or older machine.
