Timezone converter

Convert a time across cities and timezones, right in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Good to know: Daylight saving is handled automatically for each zone.
Timezone Converter is a free tool that converts a date and time from one timezone to many others entirely in your browser, with nothing uploaded. Pick the source date, time and zone, add the cities you care about, and see each matching local time with its offset, with daylight saving applied automatically.

Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded.

How to use Timezone converter

  1. Enter your figures

Fill in Date & time, In this timezone and Add a timezone. Values you change are used straight away, with no submit button.

  2. Read the results

The totals and the breakdown below them update as soon as a value changes.

  3. Start over any time

Nothing is saved on a server, so reloading the page clears everything.

What this tool does

Convert a time across many zones

Enter a date and time in one zone and see it in as many others as you add, all at once rather than one at a time.

Daylight saving handled automatically

Daylight saving is applied from the timezone database, so a meeting in March does not quietly land an hour out.

All IANA timezones incl. Asia/Colombo

Every IANA timezone is available, including Asia/Colombo, so you are not limited to a handful of major cities.

Add and remove cities

Add the cities your team is actually in and remove the ones you do not need, and Copy times takes the whole list with you.

Works offline, no sign-up

The conversion runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and it works with no connection.

Frequently asked questions

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. All times are converted in your browser using its own timezone database, so nothing is uploaded and it works offline once loaded.

Does it handle daylight saving time?

Yes. Each zone is converted using the correct offset for that exact date, so daylight saving changes are applied automatically.

How do I compare a meeting time across cities?

Set the date and time and choose the timezone it is in, then add the other cities you care about. Every row shows the matching local time and its offset.

Which timezones are available?

All standard IANA timezones your browser knows, which is several hundred cities and regions, including Asia/Colombo for Sri Lanka.

Why is the time shown with a different day sometimes?

When a zone is far enough ahead or behind, the same moment can fall on a different calendar day, so the date shown reflects the real local date there.
